Camera Access

Used only to take photos. Photos are processed locally on your device and never leave it.

Photo Library Access

Used only to save your edited photos to your device. We only request "Add Photos Only" permission — we cannot read your existing photos.

Face & Biometric Data

My Kid Battery does not collect, store, process, transmit, or share face data or any biometric information.

To place the battery graphic behind the subject of your photo, the app detects the outline of a person using Apple's on-device Vision framework (person, or "body," segmentation). This is not facial recognition: the app does not detect, scan, map, or identify faces, and it does not create a faceprint or any biometric template. This detection runs entirely on your device and produces a temporary outline that is used only while you are editing and is discarded when you leave the editing screen. Nothing from this process is ever saved by the app or sent to any server.
